Beautiful conversations… connection…
Conversations… words… that create new worlds…
Conversations…. Connection…. Uncomfortable… Raw
Healing… that comes via raw and vulnerable talks
Willing…. Not only to look… but to see…. To really see….
The room… may seem clean and tidy… but please don’t look under the bed…
Don’t open the closet door….
It’s easier to keep up the appearance… that everything is in control…
Oh yes…. Please look at me… I have it all together…
For as long as you don’t look …. behind that door..
This Sunday morning… up early, yoga stretch and meditation..
A quick drive to the store with my wife… with an unintended detour for donuts...
The cool feeling of a Sunday morning in the fall… led to great conversations for the morning
She shared “who are we without our stories.” She then began to share…. We engaged in deep talks… talks that became uncomfortable… Touched on issues about childhood… our parents… conflict…. Our insecurities… talked about how our egos get in the way. Not to hurt us, but to keep us safe. In that keeping safe, it leads us to avoid… avoid the work that needs to be done… the real work… the work of revealing.. feeling… healing…
So much we let get in our way… in our way of greatness… in our way of becoming …
Becoming the grandest expression of who we are meant to be.
Oh… the stories we tell ourselves… unaware of our innate disposition to look at the negative rather than what’s beautifully possible.
Unaware of our blindspots, our biases… Unaware of the interpretations that have us live life the way we do..
Sunday mornings can be spiritual mornings.
Get grounded and have those conversations.
