When We Are Feeling Stuck

When we’re feeling stuck
It’s easy to focus on the stuckness of it all
That’s what the mind does… by default...
It observes what’s wrong… amplifies it...
Builds a story around it…
It gets us so frantic…
That we could literally be looking for a door so we can get out
And not see that that window is open.
To notice that we’re stuck is a first step
To become aware that we’re stuck is powerful in and of itself
Once we know we are experiencing stuckness… we can make a new choice
We acknowledge how we feel...
We “be” with it
And then we can shift our attention to what we want to experience.
The overthinking/overanalyzing/overfocusing on the “stuckness” is often a habitual pattern.
We just get to slowly... break that pattern...
How? We get present… we acknowledge what we’re experiencing… we be with it… and when we’re ready… we choose anew, a new action, a new response…. A new possibility.
Believe me… we have this power… we just don’t really use it.
